If you or your attorney does not file a written answer with the clerk who issued this citation by 10:00 a.m. on the Monday next following the expiration of forty-two (42) days from the date of the issuance of this citation, a default judgment may be taken against you. You are hereby commanded to appear by filing a written answer to the Plaintiffs’ Application for Appointment of Receiver at or before ten o’clock a.m. of the Monday next after the expiration of forty-two days from the date of the issuance of this citation, same being Monday, October 12, 2026, before the Honorable LeAnn Rafferty, 123rd Judicial District Court of Panola County, Texas, at the Court House of said County in Carthage, Texas. CRAIN ENERGY, LTD. and CRAIN II OIL & GAS, LTD., Petitioner, filed suit in said Court on the 26th day of August, 2026, against William Hamilton and his Unknown Heirs, Successors or Assigns, Defendant, and said suit being numbered 2026-258 on the docket of said Court, and styled, CRAIN ENERGY, LTD. and CRAIN II OIL & GAS, LTD., V. WILLIAM HAMILTON AND HIS UNKNOWN HEIRS, SUCCESSORS OR ASSIGNS. A brief statement of the nature of this suit is as follows, to wit: Plaintiffs are seeking Appointment of a Receiver to execute oil, gas and mineral lease, assignment, memorandum of oil and gas lease or other necessary documents relating to the undivided mineral and leasehold interest for the following tracts of land: TRACT ONE 45.64 acres of land, more or less, a part of the William Hamitlon Survey, A-272, Panola County, Texas, being described as 44.0 acres, more or less, in that certain Warranty Deed dated June 2, 1964 from W. C. Pruitt and wife, Lola May Pruitt to Hugh K. Martin and wife, Neva Pruitt Martin, recorded in Volume 471, Page 91 of the Deed Records of Panola County, Texas. TRACT TWO 7.15 acres of land, more or less, situated in the William Hamilton Survey, A-272, Panola County, Texas, and being the same land described as “TRACT NO. (7)”, “Mrs. S.J. Conway, et al”, in the Pooling Declaration – Delta Drilling Company, et al, - Bowen Gas Unit No. 1, from Napeco, Inc., et al, to The Public, recorded in Volume 675, Page 467, of the Deed Records of Panola County, Texas. Said tract also being described as 8.0 acres of land, more or less, and being the same land described as “SECOND TRACT” in that certain Deed from Hugh K. Martin and wife, Neva Mary Martin to Nancy Martin, dated January 26, 1979, recorded in Volume 650, Page 130, of the Deed Records of Panola County, Texas. TRACT THREE 51.33 acres of land, more or less, a part of the William Hamilton Survey, A-272, Panola County, Texas, and being Unit Tract 8 of the Bowen Gas Unit, described in Pooling Declaration dated March 26, 1980, from Delta Drilling Company et al, recorded in Volume 674, Page 409, of the Deed Records of Panola County, Texas, and being further described as 50 acres, the Third Tract in Warranty Deed dated January 26, 1979, from Hugh K. Martin and wife, Neva Mary Martin to Nancy Martin, recorded in Volume 650, Page 130, of the Deed Records of Panola County, Texas. Petitioner is represented by J. DON WESTBROOK, P.O. BOX 2665, LONGVIEW, TEXAS, 75606. If this Citation is not served within ninety days after the date of its issuance, it shall be returned unserved. The officer executing this writ shall promptly serve the same according to requirements of law, and the mandates hereof, and make due return as the law directs.
