NOTICE OF CALL FOR PROJECTS RELATED TO THE PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2026 - 2027 ANNUAL WORK PLAN OF THE CITY OF TYLER HALF CENT SALES TAX PROGRAM The City of Tyler, Texas is providing an opportunity for public comments until April 30, 2026, related to the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 - 2027 Annual Work Plan of the Half Cent Sales Tax Program. This written notice is provided in accordance with the requirements of Texas Local Government Code § 505.160. Project requests can be made by filling out the online form at: https://www.cityoftyler.org/government/departments/engineering-services/half-cent-sales-tax Citizens can also make requests by calling the City of Tyler Engineering Department at 903-531-1126 during normal business hours or by visiting the City of Tyler Engineering Department located at 511 W. Locust St., Tyler, TX 75702. Each year a call for projects is held to allow citizens of Tyler, community leaders, Tyler City Council and City of Tyler staff to bring capital projects forward to be considered for Half Cent Sales Tax funding. Projects may include various airports, parks, traffic, streets, and drainage related projects. All projects not currently under construction or design are then ranked and prioritized based on principle and technical categories by a ranking committee. Because the city’s goals and resources are constantly changing, this plan is designed to be re-evaluated each year to reaffirm or reprioritize the capital improvement projects.
