Public Notice of Draft Environmental Assessment for the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport – Airport Traffic Control Tower The City of Tyler has prepared a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) pursuant to 40 CFR § 1506.6(b). The Draft EA has been prepared to evaluate the potential environmental impact of the proposed TYR Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). TYR is proposing to replace the existing ATCT with a more efficient and modern facility at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. The TYR ATCT Draft EA will evaluate the existing environment and analyze any anticipated environmental consequences of the proposed alternatives, including the Proposed Action, at a site-specific level. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the lead federal agency to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended under 42 United States Code (U.S.C) § 4321et seq.
