Solicitation for VetHUB Sub-Consultant Services Art Design, Selection, Fabrication & Installation For: UT Tyler School of Nursing Project Issued By: Fitzpatrick Architects 1. Introduction Fitzpatrick Architects (the “Firm”) is seeking proposals from qualified VetHUB (service-disabled veterans) sub-consultants to provide professional services related to designing, locating, selecting, fabricating, and installing artwork for the University of Texas at Tyler School of Nursing project. This solicitation is intended to support the Firm’s compliance with the University of Texas System VetHUB requirements. 2. Scope of Services The selected sub-consultant will be responsible for providing services that may include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Art Design & Concept Development •Creation of conceptual and final artwork designs. •Development of renderings, sketches, material palettes, and narrative descriptions. •Participation in design coordination meetings with Fitzpatrick Architects and the University. 2.2 Artwork Location & Selection •Assist in identifying optimal artwork locations within the new building. •Provide recommendations based on circulation, visibility, lighting, and durability. •Aid in selecting new or existing artwork for inclusion. 2.3 Fabrication •Fabrication of approved artwork or management of third-party fabricators. •Preparation of material specifications, and installation details. •Compliance with safety, durability, and code standards. 2.4 Installation •Delivery and professional installation of the artwork. •Site coordination with the Architect, Contractor, and UT Tyler. •Protection of finishes and adjacent work during installation. •Final documentation including maintenance guidelines. 3. VetHUB Requirements As this contract supports Fitzpatrick Architects’ HUB responsibilities, respondents must: •Be a State of Texas certified VetHUB firm in a relevant category (e.g., professional services, fabrication, installation). •Provide a current VetHUB certification number, certificate, and expiration date. •Demonstrate prior experience as a HUB subcontractor on institutional or public-sector projects (preferred but not required). •Participate in ongoing VetHUB documentation as required by UT System. 4. Proposal Requirements Interested VetHUB firms shall submit the following in a single PDF: 1. Statement of Interest & Overview of Firm 2. VetHUB Certification Documentation 3. Relevant Project Experience – public art, installations, institutional work 4. Proposed Approach to Scope – design, coordination, fabrication, installation 5. Preliminary Fee Structure or Hourly Rates 6. Three (3) References 5. Evaluation Criteria Fitzpatrick Architects will evaluate proposals based on: •Quality and relevance of past work •Ability to meet the scope of services •Strength of design approach and creativity •Capacity to coordinate with a large design team •Experience working with institutions or public agencies •Fees and value •Accuracy and completeness of HUB certification 6.
